Why I Buy Handmade

I am a big supporter of things handmade, of cottage industry, of the self-representing artist. From hairclips to breads, from dishcloths to skirts, from cheese to perfume oils, whenever possible I try to buy handmade. This past weekend a few pieces of our jewellery were in an art gallery show, and we, along with a few other artists, also set up a table to sell some of our other pieces.
