Lets admit it, very few of us get paid to actually blog. We either blog out of enjoyment as apart of a business venture. Blogging alone however doesn't offer us very much money(minus the sponsored posts). We have very busy lives outside of the blogging world so, it is impossible to keep all of your blogging responsibilities in your head. The good things is you don't have to! No one is expected to remember everything that is coming up with their blogs.

If you want to become a successful blogger having a calender is a must have! If you're a book blogger you know that there are many dates that you have to scheduale authors interviews, guest posts and reviews. I don't know about you but, I can't possibly keep everything straight. Trust me, the more popular your blog gets the more dates you will have to keep track of.

Whether you're a book blogger or a regular blogger calendars helps everyone!

There are two calendars you can use to stay on track:

  1. Google Calendar: Google calendar is extremely easy to use and you keep track of personal as well as blogging activities. You can color code your events so that  you know what activities they are. You can also set reminders to remind yourself of when activities are coming up.The reminders range from hours to weeks before the events even start. I know many bloggers that use Google docs and it keeps them right on track.
  2. Microsoft Works Calendar: I use this calendar and it actually came with my computer. It is really simple to use. You can categorize your dates and appointments. You can view your calender in days, weeks and months. You can also set reminders just like google calendar. I use this one because I can just click on my desktop shortcut and review everything for the week.

No matter what calendar you us,e it is important that if you're going to have a successful blog you must stay organized with a calendar.

I use a plugin called Editorial Calendar and it works great with my blog. I am able to schedule posts out and plan out my post ideas.
