I would be interested in learning more about the referral service you belong to... Linda.  Welcome to the group!  Also check out Pink Link Pages (although I think the name may be changing in the near future).  It is solely focused on Women owned businesses and a portal to find all types of businesses that are ran or owned by women.  I belong and although I haven't received a referral yet, I am still optimistic!

Hi! I am a part of a referral service however, I haven't sent referrals nor received any. It just may be a slow process. I intend to go to the site and research how I can send referrals and help someone out...I do believe in giving!!

Thanks for asking, Kelley! I am a self-taught graphic and web designer. I have a degree in Sociology, which is awesome, but not worth a whole lot market-wise. So, I didn't feel like I could take out student loans. Anyway, I've been learning for the last 2-ish years, and after this Fall when I have completed a few more free/favor/barter projects, I'm ready to break out. So, I'm laying the ground work. And I've recently started blogging and podcasting. For enjoyment mostly, but also as part of a larger social media plan.

I would love to hear more about what you all do!

Mary ~  I have to admit to being a bit of a jewelry hoarder...I see it and my eyes glaze over and I get a case of the 'i want 'ems' really bad.  This is the perfect place to showcase you business and who knows....maybe there will be some additional road trips after your New York trip to help bring 'bling & beauty' to the world.  Since I work from home, I am afraid that I offend my jewelry by not wearing them enough.  It really should be my 2012 resolution to wear them more!
