This discussion reminded me of a recent email from one of my clients: "...Thanks again for being so loving and caring about our feelings, we love you for that."
My clients let me know that they know how much I care, vs my having to tell them so. It's pretty obvious whether you do...or you don't...care about them, I think.

Permalink Reply by Nicole Moulton on February 15, 2012 at 5:00pm I think you are correct! I just find so many people think that business is business. But I feel like business is very personal, especially when you are dealing with personal decisions.

Permalink Reply by Nicole Moulton on February 15, 2012 at 5:01pm That's a great thing to do. I think many times people forget to be thankful for business or take time to write a thank you.

Short answer- you treat them like they are not a number, you build a relationship of caring by acknowledging them, knowing who they are, knowing the details of their lives, marking special occasions and offering value and solutions to their needs.
But as I wrote on my Newsletter Call To Action- because I get asked all the time this same question-
“You listen to them, and in my industry anyway from last weeks Newsletter- In Network Marketing if you want to be seen as a legitimate business BE a legit business. That is easy to say I know, but what you may not be getting from your up line is that, Network Marketing is not a sprint but is a Marathon like all business it will not be built RIGHT overnight nor should you expect it to.
Too many MLMs come in like a lion wreck havoc and then we are left to try and pick up the pieces all the while waving our white flags and saying we are not the enemy. We ARE different we are not con men nor thieves in the night, and those fly by night and fakes wearing the MLM banner that make it harder for the people who are wanting to grow and own a public serving legitimate Network Marketing company. We care about our customers we offer a quality product and we stand be hind our company. We build bonds with our following and forge alliances within out niche and we better service our customers for that.
I know if we hang in there if we are real and consistent- if we stand apart and away from the schemers and fakes we will shine by keeping our values and ethics intact by the quality we bring our customers and their ideals of what they want in the companies they wish to do business with, by how we interact with them. That relationship has to be earned, but when it is your business will grow as you will build a following and it won’t matter what the Pyramider’s are doing you will never been seen as one.”
So Nichole, if you want your customers to feel cared about and special treat them like they are cared about and special. They will get the idea

People are going to buy your product if they like it, but they will tell their friends and family about if they love it. Creating some type of connection and listening to their feedback makes them feel as if they are apart of your business and shows the value in behind what you sell.
